Great weekend with great company. I am glad Graham brought the boys, they ended up being
our evenings entertainment 8)

As Matt says great weekend had by all although I have to say I was disappointed with the show itself, from poor evening entertainment (billed as Dodgy but only one of the members, no stage so impossible to see him and a sound system smaller than in my everyday car so no one could hear them), to toilets that were unusable first thing on Sunday morning.

Despite all of that It was good to see Matt & Lisa again, Brian & Phillipa, Pete B, Dave Frost and to meet Strongy for the first time (not to be forgotten) and his brother in law Nick (you really should change your profile name) and Karl & Alison whose efforts to keep the campfire going meant burning the poles out of their windbreak, class

Roll on EBI and Vanfest

Oh and last but not least

Forgot to add that even though we were at a VW Show the car that seemed to steel the show was the Chevy Impala with hydraulics and blown glass cooling pipes, a work of art in its own right and great to meet the guy who did the pipeshttp://www.engineoptics.com

Wow!

First thing I've seen on a car in ages that has truely blown me away.

Are there any more photos of the car? :)

Jim

I thought the lads had taken more pictures of the car but nothing else on the camera, the whole car was the same quality as the engine bay. I'm sure somewhat else must have pictures of the car itself.

You must mean Lisa drinking a glass of wine

Matt
From what I've seen nothing new in that, now if we are talking bottles rather than glasses then theres another story

Hi guys, me and alice would like to say a big thankyou for making us feel so welcome. We had a fantastic weekend, saturday night was a great laugh and the burning of the wind break poles was a small price to pay to keep our new friends warm! Hope you all had as good a time as we did and look forward to hooking up again at another show.

(p.s. are you nice and cosy in your pyjamas with your filofax Matt)

Maybe you should get Alice some Pyjamas & Dressing gown rather than keeping her warm with your usual tricks ;)

Was good to meet you both, looking forward to meeting up again at another show, just call me first to check the dates.........we wouldn't want you turning up a week early

Oh, and yes I am cosy in my pyjama's!!

Looks like I missed a great show.....Good to see the familiar faces.

I hope to see a few of you at BVF, Camperjam and Dubs at the Castle.

ye had a good one and good to meet up and have a few beers. dodgey defo sums up dodgey

look forward to the next one i can make

did anyone get the number of the chap that had the stall with those curtains on?

all in it was a good show. first time camping with four kids was interesting. wasnt impressed with the lack of vw bits for sale, no jk no schofs or decent importers. or the whole dodgy scam as i really wanted to see them and as they the bloke came on really early i was still cooking so missed him. the show was double the size of last year so i can only imagine it will end up huge. it was my birthday on sat night and they stitched my dad and his misses £20 to pop in and see me for an hour which was a bit tight. i would have loved to have stayed later today but sadly i drank far too much last night and my wife wasnt impressed so she went home in my golf and left me there to sober up enough to drive the sharan home :( had a natter with a few early bayers and really wish mine was on the road. has anyone got pics of the show and shine?

ooooh thats my bus!!!

I really enjoyed the weekend - and although the layout of the site was a bit shite, i still had a ball. I actually really liked the dodgy dodgy set - i was a bit miffed when i saw that it was only the front man, but it was still cool and laid back i thought :)

We were hosting some friends and my girlfriends sister so i didnt get the chance to wander round as much as i had hoped.

Dubscum - i saws ya and i saws ya bus and i was gonna say hi....but i got all shy
