Afternoon,

I want to flush my fuel tank without removing it. Can anyone confirm if they have ever used a compressor to pressurise / flush the tank through the filler cap? I am hoping to flush out any crud on the bottom of the tank ideally.

Then over winter I will be removing it and doing a proper job with the engine re-build.

Regards

As above. All you're going to end up doing is agitating crap that is probably sitting still and not causing any harm and then risking this clogging up your filter / carb. Leave it be until you can do it properly.

hmm good points well made!

I am going down the filter king and facet pump route, so wanted to stop the pump from getting damaged over the summer by crud coming out of the tank. However, I think you are right and will leave this job for the Winter :)
