I have got my van sitting just right, its comfu and handles well, my only issue is that the beam hits the ground every now and then (not good with the wife and kids on board) I was wondering what peoples thoughts were on cuttng say an inch off the bottom of the towers and wellding a nice thick bit of flat steel in to seel the gap?

good idea or bad?

They do it in this monthscamper and bus ..

... not that it makes it correct of course!

I would say do it mate ..with a turned up front edge ..

You are running rd9 right?

My beam touch the road a few times but i had the coilover dampening set at 0 ie the softest.

Screwed it up to 8 and all cool and the gang 8)

yeah I am, I thought it was on its hardest setting, i'll have to ckeck, I will add that it only bottoms out on verry uneaven roads.
