Hi all, i need a bit of advise.

On the top dashboard panel there are 4 outlets pointing up to the windscreen.

The centre two throw out some real heat yet the outer two are always cold.
Is this normal?

The cold ones blow harder when i open the vent lever, but do not stop fully when i close the lever.
Is this normal?

The two circular vents (one on each side of dashboard) facing into the cab always blow cold.
Is this correct?

Yeah that's right. Though you should be able to close off the fresh air ones completely. There's a seal, under the screen on the front of the Bus, which may deteriorate. Alternatively, the lever may not be pulling the flap closed fully.

If you look under the dash you can see where the heated air comes from/goes to. Follow the metal pipe upwards (the one which runs up the centre of the bus, and gets warm/hot to the touch when the heating's on). The ones which aren't heated have only 'fresh' air from the front of the bus.

This is the system on my '74, I'm not sure that the Earlies were all the same.

Cheers, A.
