Hi Harry,
Yes your bus is very nice indeed. Nice touch getting the dealer plates too! I was wondering is the belt trim original? It looks like stainless steel. I am unsure whether to replace my original belt trim with stainless steel. I think the original looked like polished stainless steel anyway! Dilemma time...

Trim is stainles steel and i'm very happy with it, doesn't dent that easy like the original ally ones and the shine is lasting.

Piccys when fitted please! :lol: What's the clearence like? Splitty 15" are a little narrower? 4" Guess that'll offset the larger increase in tyre width?

Split rims are 4.5 wide, i'm going fo the more adventures look and a westy is meant to be that way :mrgreen:
Had this in mind for a long time and this bus did it for me

I think my 6 rib gearbox can come up for sale now :mrgreen:

Yes!! I have seen the S X U X R X F bus before, it's a lovely early westy. When i need new tyres, I'm gonna go the same look, just need to keep my eyes peeled for cheap spitty rims and maybe some mud tyres or A/T...

Can't imagine you off roading your mint bus tho!

Tires and hubcap springs are mounted, next week i change the wheels.
Not planning anything radical just the bigmeat tires, think i will have a new car segment

Ok here are the first crappy Phone pics, wil make some better ones in daylight with a proper camera.
Drives great, don't need my cp gearbox now , and steering is easier
