Hi there - hope everyone is well.
Anyone ever tried fitting a new headliner in without taking screen out ?
Was thinking possibly wrap around thin plastic and glue under the seal first … then bow … then tighten at back of wood batten and tack as per Dormobile fitting.
Any input appreciated as I believe it’s one of the hardest jobs 😳

Hey @YellowBay69 . When i tidied up my head lining in my bus there were big parts that came adrift from the top right screen drivers side and it was hanging down. Obviously would be ideal to take window out but to be honest providing the seal is good and supple you can glue and slip under the seal. Its what i did being careful not to damage it. Its still stuck now. Its not show standard by any means but it looks clean and very presentable for 55 ha. If its sagging just un nail and pull a bit and re nail on the batten on the back. 🤙

We did exactly that in our Devon last year. Definitely wasn't going to take the windscreen out!

The screens pretty easy to get in and out , the headliner wraps around the seal edge so it can be tensioned properly, can’t see it would work properly without pulling the screen

last time my windscreen was out I got a professional fitter to put it back in, took him and 4 of us to get it back in with the new seal !

So I went for the stick and stretch approach. Got good contact behind rubber seal. Used a thin metal strip on each side.
