my idea for the front is 165 45 15, slammer bammer
and the rear 195 65 15?

help as dont wanna go down the whole fit and remove and send back and buy again and fit and ...........

cheers and i know its an easy one thats been covered a million times, i am slow and went through the tyre and stance thread and got lost!!!!

I have 195/65/15 on banded Beetle slots 5.5, they fit but they are damn tight. My bus has slamwerks plates down one click.

I'd go for the 175/65x15, just fitted them to replace the 195/65x15 on the split before it went, and visually they looked to be little difference. They where fitted to those 5.5" aftermarket bug solids you can get.

Have a play with this tyre size calculator...
http://www.alloywheels.com/TyreCalc.asp

...it's always my first port of call when playing with tyre sizes :)

cheers moler for that have looked and found that my front rollin diameter for the 15s will be 10% less than the 17s with slam tyres so that a free drop and the rears on 175 65 will be the same so thats cool ass my arse is low enough, cheers for the help :D

Be careful going less than 185/65/15 on the rear as otherwise your tyre circumference will be less than a stock tyre and will require more revs to achieve the same speed and you will work your engine harder.

Because I was running a Bug IRS box, the change in tyre size effectively changed an AT I had into an AH...much better for the hills, and 60mph a little over 3000rpm :D
