Tried to browse through The samba's technical and also forums aswell as here.

Couldn't find much (=nothing) about installing an Eberspacher into a Singlecab..

Anyone got any info about this.

I have now found a Eberspacher BN2 (6V) and I'm wondering if it is in any way possible to use this in my -72 singlecab? How to install it etc. if it would work?

Hi (again)
I've got an Eberspacher BN4 in mine -(out of Sweden) came as standard fitment.
I took mine out of the truck and checked it through first, bolted to a test bench + ran it for a long time.
I researched via thesamba and remember seeing "how to" guides on installing one from scratch.
People talk a lot of scare stories about these heaters and how 'dangerous' they are - but if the fuel lines are all intact - they should be fine as they have a number of cut-outs in them, should something go wrong.
and hey - you are already driving around with a big petrol engine in the back - we safety check these don't we ?

Good luck with it - they're great - but do look around for a 12v one- BN4 is bit more modern. Should be a few of them about in the back of pick-ups in your neck of the woods !

This link shows installation procedure into a double-cab -
Could be helpful ?

Thanks. Checked the Samba literature allready but it is most likely slightly different on a singlecab. Atleast how and where the air blows into the cabin?
