empi Trigger Shifter help

I've installed a new empi Trigger Shifter

When I change from reverse back to 1st I struggle to find 1st

When going from 3rd - 2nd it can go straight into reverse without lifting the trigger

also when it is in any gear the stick can me moved left to right for about 4-5 inches

any help appreciated thx

I fitted my shifter and had to undo the bolts at the base move it forward or back until i found the sweet spot. It really is trial and error.Not much help but that's what i did.

Daft question but have you used the right spacer ?

O yes good point there are two spacers.

Ive tried both spacers.......

the main problem seems to be 1st and then 3rd to 2nd :-(

3rd to 2nd it goes to reverse almost every time

Rough rule of thumb is put it into 2nd gear, slacken off the bolts, move the base of the shifter as far to the right (offside) as you can and hold it there while doing the bolts up, that should mean you can only get reverse while lifting the trigger. Is it new or used?
