Is the one like heritage and others do anygood some reports on some forums say they are a bit "bouncy"/flimsy and put a lot of stress on the case.....??

I have used one of those and know a few engine builders that use them too.

But I dont want to seem biased, someone else I am sure must have used one.

Does it have to be bench mounted? THis looks good if not

does'nt have to be bench mount but i only need the top bit will mount it to a frame i have just wondered if they a strong enough to hold a full dressed engine as some reports seem to suggest they are iffy, but it's quicker than me building one.

there fine and every youtube video u see building a vw engine will be using one.they let you connect to one side of the engine letting you split the case or put the case back together while on the stand.

I've got a couple... If you're handling a lot of engines, then they do need modifying slightly as the bolt lugs do bend over time...

This is one that I put on a mobile floor stand that I built!!

Actually looks like I'll have to link it over when I'm on my laptop...
