engine flush

JUst use some old oil, dont bother with an actual engine flush agent, they tend to have detergents in them and can cause more hassle than its worth in an old car.
 
thanks again froggy,was going to do it with the old oil as well,so just use the oil,
 
Just get the oil nice & hot & dump it while it is hot. That should get most of the crap out. Clean the rocker covers out & the oil strainer too.
 
Ideally a bain marie, camping stove or blowtorch and the oil receptical needs a handle, gaunlets/heavy weight gloves...

but did you not block off the apertures when you drilled the studs out?
 
before we done it the og holes were all the way through put fingers in and could fill the
other studs :?:

drill tap and then case saver,the old studs just pulled out,the studs ended up the same
length as the og.
