On my way to DATH this weekend , my save my bug dipstick oil sensor light kept flickering on.

Now I must admit the temps on Friday were around 25 d c so was v warm

Just concerned me a bit

I'm not sure if I have a prob or if my sensor is faulty or bit keen ?

My engine is a completely new referbed motor , my machanic said may b settling in ???

On the way home was a cooler damp day and light didn't flicker on once?

Engine pulled lovely and sounded fine

Anyone any thoughts ?

Had the same issue at the weekend on way to Knebworth on Thursday, on way back on Monday didn't come on once.

Also interested in an answer!

Oh really

I've never done that ..... Just got it out the packet and connected it up !

Anyone got any info on that ??.

It's also worth bearing in mind that its quite normal for any engine to run hotter when its new and bedding in. It will run cooler as the mileage increases and should be "normal" after 500 to 1000 miles.
