Well spent over an 1 hour at the machine shop today.

the mark in by the speedo drive is only a manufacting mark and not a crack!!!!

Happy days :D :D :D

that's the distributor drive gear not the speedo drive
True
And to think i only built my engine 3 weeks ago!

Well after 4 months without having a running bus

My new engine has now been fitted.

The case was shot on my engine, so i had one built for the bus. That went in and run for 10 seconds before that siezed
Not my fault, this time. The pump was not pumping :? :? :? so the engine builder told me :? :? :?

So, £1000 later. I now have a full flowed 1641, with 110 cam, twin dells etc etc

Goes great until it had a habbit of blowing oil filters. Now sorted that.

Cheers for everyones advice and help

Just need to put some miles on her before Ninove

.. BTW what wasd teh casue of the 'blowing filters in the end ?

Cheers

James

Sometime the pumps have problems priming so what can be done is whip off cover plate and put grease in and crank over lump less plugs and oil sender -grease / oil should shoot out, screw in sender and crank without plugs until light goes out.

Was it put together :D The workshop looks familar :msn4:

No m8, well spotted through.
It was built by Dan Simpson. :D :D :D :D
Just used Ben's/Matt's lift to save me trying to put it in on my drive, he's VERY kind like that :D :D :D

Wow Matt, just read your thread mate. Sounds like you've not had a lot of luck. If it's any consolation mines been sitting on the drive since September. Traced it down to the carb. Got the twin dells going on this weekend of the weathers on my side  .

Hope I have better luck with mine!

Yeah been a **** 5 months without the bus, really missed drive it about

Running like a dream now :D

Pull you finger out m8 and get yours sorted, call me if you need a hand 8)

I'm trying, it's just that every weekend it seems to piss it down or snow.
By the way what's the name of that wax you use on your bus?
