Engine support bar bolt pulls thread out

Hi my engine support bar has took a big bang resulting in the bottom bolt ripping the thread out of the hole. Is the best way to fix this to re tap a bigger hole now and re place with a larger bolt and how easy is it to do this. Thanks

I think you can Helicoil a new thread back in to the engine case Karle.

I'm running with just 2 of the 3 bolts in, as one of my Helicoils came out when I last took the motor out.

Thanks steve it must of happened between here and Spa not suprising really. I will try and sort it at the weekend ready for white noise next week, but like you say it should be fine with just the two bolts in. Cheers.
