External oil filter

I have just removed my bay engine and intend to put my split 2000cc into it for this summer whilst the split is being restored. The engine has the support points for the bay engine support but it would appear that this fouls the oil take off pipe from the pump cover plate. Is there a different type of cover plate available for bay engines or how do you miss the support bolts?

If you do a search, this has been covered a couple of times. It's the fitting off the cover that is the crucial bit. Some folk space the bar off the engine a bit too.
