Hi,

I have a 68 bay and trying to improve the gear shift. In the front of the gear shift rod there is a bush which goes inside the shift rod and then locates on a pin which (in my van) is bolted into the chassis member.

I think mine has been tampered with though and someone has fitted a 'new' pin. I got a new bush initially but its the same size as the old bush - i think the pin someone else fitted is something they had lieing around and is too small for the bush letting everything flap about!

Does anyone know where i can get a new pin - i can`t even find it under vwheritage et al!

I`ll try and find a pic of google but struggling the mo, cheers, mike

Case closed - found the pin in one of the boxes in the garage and it fits the new bush perfectly :)

Another quick welding job then!
