Hi Folks
I'm taking part in The Great North Run on Sunday. This is the third time I've done it, each time for a different charity...and reason!
The first time time was for Kidney Research UK, I chose them as my Grandad died of Kidney failure excatly a year before (run was on the same day...fate?!)
a very tired but proud me afterwards! It took me 2 hours and twenty minutes by the way!
The second time (last year) was for prostate cancer as a good friend of the family died of this...way too young!
couple of actions shots! (2 hours and 3 minutes! 17 mins better!)
And finally this year!
My wife gave birth this year to our first child... Honey Boo :group:
Me, wife and Honey at Beete Drive at Crich few weeks ago!
During the birth i think i must have felt many other fathers in that situation...helpless!
It made me realise how lucky we were to have a relatively smooth birth with few mplications or problems. It must be heart breaking for parents who arent so lucky. With this in mind I decided to raise money for action medical research who specialise in researching ways to help these poor babies.
Anyway!
If you have a pound or so in your paypal account going spare you can sponsor me online at
http://www.action.org.uk/sponsor/michaelcohen" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
I'll let you know how I get on and good luck to anyone else taking part!
Thanks,
Michael and Honey :hug:
