Batley, it's God awful!
Never ever again will I step over the door of that company again, it is staffed by miserable fuckers who look like they don't want to be there and treat there potential customers like arseholes that are wasting there valuable time when they could be staring at a computer playing Solitaire. They lie that they have a product, they are expensive and a complete bunch of twats.

If you can, ring before or order online from veewee.co.uk a few hours beforehand.
Then when you arrive you don't have to bother them too much ;)

I use the one near Kirkstall and, to be fair, they've always given me good service.

Not had an issue with them either, I also use the one in Kirkstall and the one in the centre of Leeds.

I wouldn't call them expensive either?! GSF are normally one of the cheapest, probably due to the buying power they have over smaller companies like M7 and VWH etc.

I've never had a problem with the service - that's in (both) Bristol branches, Birmingham and Reading.

They do sell some poorer quality stuff, but it's the same stuff everyone else sells. At least you can hold it before parting with your cash :)

I'll use them unless I'm after something they don't do - genuine VW panels, for example. For general servicing parts, can't beat them. :)

I have had problems with GSF but not with their staff who I find are always very helpfull. I get quite a few parts from their Newcastle branch and have never been let down by not having parts when I get there. I usually ask them to check to see if parts are in stock and put them out for me, if not you may find someone else has bought the parts before you get there. As far as being expensive I find they are one if not the cheapest VW parts supplier. GSF like the rest of the VW specialist buy parts from different suppliers and are not original and some times the parts are not completley to original spec. The problems that I have had are hub seal kits from more than one supplier being different, EMPI parts that have to be modified to fit and a crankshaft that was 4mm short on the flywheel pully end causing engine to lock up after setting end float and fitting EMPI pulley. I rectified this by machining pulley rather than stripping engine down again.I have been buying parts from GSF for VW and other makes for the 5 years and have had other parts problems but have also had problems with other suppliers aswell. I am lucky that I have contact with their VW parts buyer, sorry no I will give his name as he will be spending more time answering phone than doing his job. If as was suggested one of our members is having problems with staff at his local branch that can be substantiated contact head office at Birmingham.May I point out that I have no connection of any sort with GSF other than being a customer.

:) :)

I've used both GSF'S in Manchester, both branches have their arseholes, then again both branches have really helpfull pleasant individuals, so when I get the arsehole on the counter I ask for the pleasant member of staff, this then pisses off the arsehole even more
Prices ok for me & never had a problem with the products.

Andy

The Norwich branch are very helpful and a couple of the guys are genuine VW enthusiasts that helps. My issue is that they never have in stock, the part that I need at the time :-(

Peterborough branch is very good. They always seem to have what I need in stock be it for my bus or my mk1 golf.
Its also helps that they are behind my works plus they accept my earlybay discount card too

All seem to depend on the particular branch you go to in my experience, some better than others but like all retail places you could get someone on a bad day..

I've got great experiences with GSF. 4 attempts to get me the right throttle cable. I gave up on the 5th

was looking for an alternator kit at show ,three guys on the stand didnt know what amps theres were  fills you with confidence when buying

I just think they a big company but don't specialise in aircooled so you can't expect the same level of knowledge you get of the normal lot of suppliers. They just sell the parts.

and they do sell them a lot cheaper than the aircooled specialist suppliers for exactly the same stuff.
