hey guys new round these parts, baught my 1st ever VW after the volksworld show, some of you may have seen it, at the show and on here, its a 68 blue panel van (got a window and vent in the sliding door), the body work is good no real rust good repare welds, etc. only the dash was in a state and other than front seats there is nothing in it, im currently rebuilding the dash (just waiting for parts to come in) and Iv baught a full length vinyl headliner with all the bows but having done some research im now considering returning it and fitting a ply headliner. will it be cheaper and where can i get the fitements for the ply headliner? I will get round to getting some pics up soon.
any help is appreciated Thnks Greg

Have a look for egos van in the gallery section very nice ply roof and he has details of where to lay your hands on the J channels

Hi mate, do you have a rail running the length of the bus on both sides? on mine the ply slotted into the rails and then i added a few screws to keep it sturdy.

Also i have just fitted a new dash, not sure if you have rescued yours or bought new? if you have bought new beware that they dont just bolt in  you have to modify to fit - come to think of it, you have to modify to fit everything you will ever buy

thanks guys, Il have alook. yea I got a new dash the old one was well kippered, I didnt have to mod it much but iv got alot of screws and bolts left over lol, just waiting for the last parts for the dash to com in at vw heritage to finish it off
