I've a couple of quesions that I'm hoping someone may be able to answer.

The van is a '71 Devon.

1. There are 4 heater levers (which I'm replacing with the billoted metal type) - the left two open the two font fresh air flaps, then the two right levers haven't the cables running to them. Should these each run to the left / right heat exchanger?

2. The bumpers have the 'rubber' step on them and the front indicators are 'low'.... but I also have a step in the cab which fits the later 'step rubbers' also. Was this set up ever origional, or have I a previous ammendment.... ie someone welded in the 'wrong' later steps (there is a fair bit of welding around the step areas, although looks well done and very solid). I found this out when ordering a new set of carpets from 'MadMatz' which although correct for the year didin't fit until they kindly exchanged them for later carpets.

My main reason for question 2 - is that when I looked up the heater lever cables they seem to be very year dependant, and now I'm basically questioning what year of van I should be ordering for.

Sorry if my questions are basic, but any help much appreciated.

you will need to know build date as theres a change over in 71 model year .door steps wellllllllllllll if its a late 71 might be an early cross over so would have the one year flared arches with early bumper.so some one will have put on late arches to match, everyone had flares in the 70s
