Help!!! Front wheels locked

Got the wheel up and took it off. Unscrewed the two nuts holding the drums and blam she was as free as a bird! The breaks had seized open. Not even a fault or broken spring or anything jammed inside!

CV joint does need a new rubber seal, well spotted!

You will probably find that the brake piston is sticking - unless you're lucky and a bit of use frees it off, it will most likely happen again when you next drive it.

You can get away with very slowly pushing the Pistons out using the foot brake so that they aren't fully out, giving them a clean up and then pushing them home again, but to be honest, it's pretty cheap to just fit new ones.
 
Thanks Moseley! Definitely something I'm going to keep my eye on.

I took her for a spin yesterday. Was out for about 45 mins and all was fine and dandy. Drove her again this morning and fingers crossed all is running well so far.
