Help, i am looking for the piece of rubber pipe that goes from the fuel filler to the tank. Its 2, 1/4 inches inside diameter and about 7 inches long. Tried vw heritage but they do not stock it. Also tried local hose suppliers but no luck. Its for a 1971 van. Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply. I have one to but its gone a porous and smell a bit. Is your piece ok. Steve

Looks nice and clean, mines the same, apart from the pipe. Is your piece of pipe straight just looked for one on status and they only sell bent ones, they are also a bit shorter.

the pipe is straight, give him a call and have achat with him.dont think he has everything on his site

I managed to get a new pipe from Scohfileds, they have a roll of it not cheap but you when you need one you have to have one. Robins it is the same as the one in the right hand side of your picture. Mine looked ok but when you squeezed it you got the smell of petrol on your hand, it was pourous. Might be worth checking yours while you have the cover off, its an easy job to get it out.

It is possible to do it with the tank in :)

I need to remove my tank soon to get at the fuel sender though :(

Hi, you just undo the stainless clip nearest the tank then undo the three 10mm bolts filler cap and just pull it out with a bit of twisting.
