Happy Birthday Mark! :D

I'm 47, and bought my first bus as a 30th birthday present to myself.
I started driving my folks' Danbury (bought new by them in '72) as my daily driver from the age of 19 though, until they so cruelly tore it from me and sold it!
Winter driving was never the same again after that..... I was warm, I could hear the radio, my dad no longer had to come out in his dressing gown on the freezing mornings to push start me......

Feeling very old amongst all you youngsters, was 50 early this year so will be 51 a month after Christmas   .

Another late comer to VW's bought our first one in early 2008 after hunting for a while, havent looked back really and have owned a few to date, spent most of my life around classic cars, including Triumphs, Austins etc but before the VW's was into Caterhams and regularly competed in hillclimbs and sprints for over 6 years.

Age 36. Had VW's since 18, First Bus was this one which I purchased in the summer of 2011.
And its the been the best so far! (Enjoyment/Adventure wise)

Like me... It gets better with age! ;)

Paul. 8)

Been into Volkswagens since I was a kid. Dad got me into them, he brought a '64 new  had 3-4 bugs, split screen panel van and a 72 Devon. He was well happy when I brought mine, although now hates it because it's slammed and has a big motor

Purist's eh?

Compared to you guys I should be ordering my Zimmer frame . 58 1/2 , had the van for 3 years up until then fist choice was my lambretta, loved the scooter scene but hand on heart the vw scene is more relaxed and friendly, met some great folks this year and counting the days till next years rally's start again...

Quite a range then. Am I the youngest on the forums??
Too many old folk round these parts

One more oldie, 51 1/2, very important that half. Got a 71 Westy this year, had to wait years, very long story. Our little IVF miracle came first

Aged 50......but still one of the last sat around the fire on a fine star-lit night at a van show. Think I was around 22 when I got my first van a 68 double slider Devon which fell apart as an un-maintained daily drive, FLY 212J if anyone ended up with it... had 6 since then and got my latest, 72 panel cross-over as a 50th prezzie to self always wanted one and as Nicki says 'time is running out' also have a 65 and 58 bug and no room on the drive......

Quite a range!!!
From Granpa tricky  down to young Karlos n supertramp!!!
I'm in the middleish at 33, but I've had a VW camper of my own (dad had one first) of one kind or another since I was 15

Someone should work out the average camper owner!?!??

Like, married or single , age etc!??

Not me, mind though but, I'm too lazy!!!
