so then..... how the hell have you all put your front emblem badge on??? i said once Richie Randolph had passed his mot i would put the badge on the front.

i can reach the lower 2 wholes by hand, just enough to put the fixings on the back, but as for the top 2, i have no idea!!!

i was very close to getting the tiger seal and or gripfill out, but didnt just incase i have missed something really obvious!

so who can help me out with this then!! or am i stupid!!

cheers

Austin

i have a similar query - how to affix the badge without drilling any holes in my sparkling front panel ! can you nip off the 4 pins at the back of the badge and use a strong adhesive to fix the badge without using the pins? such as glazing sealant strip?
cheers Rob

Hiya Austin,

The answer to your two top holes (actually all four holes) is that the pins on the back of the emblem fit into a push on expandable nut/holder gizmo that wedges itself into the body hole. The emblem then is meant to be installed/pushed into place from the outside of the Bus. You should not have to access any of the holes/nut gizmos from inside the Bus.

And rob, I'm guessing that you might be able to use doublesided tape for affixing the emblem. The big problem I see with that approach is that the reverse side (closest to the Bus body) is not flat and that will make for minimum contact between emblem, tape, and body. Probably not a good thing. Also, I'd think long and hard about nipping off any of those pins. You just might be getting yourself into a corner that may be hard to escape. I'd be asking froggy for mucho details on his application before doing any unfortunate alterations.

Hi!

Yep, bookwus is correct, you have 4 plastic gromits, that once the logo are pushed into, they grip it and it wont come out. I managed to find a set of og ones new from a trade stand.
Machine 7 look like they have what you want. Here you go:

I bought these

http://www.customandcommercial.com/details.asp?id=1464&searchprod=&Sub_Category=1828&page=&group=61&category=340" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

pushed them into the front panel then pushed the badge on ...job done :D

I have bought 3 different sets of clips but none work, i eventually found the correct set for the badge i have but as my van origianlly had a spare wheel fitted to the front and someone had drilled out the riv-nuts and used bolts, the holes left in the front are to big for the clips.
I had no choice but to either fill the holes and re-drill or use a padded double sided tape (think it is a 3m product and trimmed it to suit

so simple when you know how!! i have these little clip things that KK gave me when i got the badge, i thought they went on from behind!!

thats cool, just got to weld up a few other holes that the previous owner drilled to support the spare tire thing, then i'll have a badge on the front at long last!!

cheers for that Bookwus and everyone else.
