how to swap dizzies?

Simple question.How do I swap dizzies.Have got 009 at moment but have aquired vac advance so want to swap.Will be replacing carb later(weber prog) but have heard that it can run with vac advance dizzy so thought i would try it out.Any advice/words of wisdom accepted.

i would leave the 009 in

fit new points and condensor to your vac dizzy whilst not fitted and set the points gap.

remove dizzy cap, undo pinch bolt on the 009 dizzy, slide dizzy out, note location of rotor arm and keyway on the bottom of the dizzy, insert vac dizzy with keyway and rotor arm in same location as 009 removed.

Refit dizzy cap, start engine and set timing with timing lamp.

Note that the 009 rotor arm is 90 degrees further round than the svda one so you need to move the HT leads to correspond to that. When you remove the 009 and offer up the new one you'll see what I mean.
