Happy days! Where can I get a copy of that then?

Had a sweet parking space at Crich, right outside the pub!

Yeah Crich is a great little venue for all sorts of meets and events, went to a cold war themed event a few years ago some really ****** up mad russian cars....you deffinately wouldnt want to smoke near most of them beasts.....

Opened camper and bus today and saw a familar looking van on the advert for big bang...

Looks like that is their promotional shot for this year.

Wanted to rattle of my Lv1 Tig exam piece off tonight at college, but just wasn't in the zone, hands kept cramping

Ah well always next week!

Nailed it this week. Just a butt joint and a lap joint left to do.

Hopefully weather being good I'll make some more progress on the van this weekend.

Been doing more on the wiring today.
Started with this mess
Photo0551.jpg

Got worse before it got better...
Photo0552.jpg

Bit tidier, and some alarm bits going in
Photo0553.jpg

And dropped the clocks out to do the rest of the alarm wiring
Photo0555.jpg

More progress tomorrow

Got the alarm in today, just think I've got a dodgy earth on the siren so need to sort that but it does give me the oppertunity to tweek the sensitivity and see if my alarm will have any false alarms without annoying the neighbours!
Looking a bit tidier now
Photo0557.jpg

Sorted all the wires on the floor from the sub and leisure battery
Photo0558.jpg

Stuck my secondary fusebox (for the leisure battery)into position. Just need to finish wiring this up now.
Photo0556.jpg

Finally bought some window winders to match my interior door handles
Photo0559.jpg

Only got one weekend left before volksworld!

Great job with the wiring - always scared of doing any wiring work.....

 Must admit I was delaying the bit where I was cutting the ignition and starter wires for as long as possible!
I don't mind wiring really, just makes me glad I did an electronics A level!

Just missed out on doing another test piece tonight cause my gas supply turned out to be a bit iffy.
On my test piece, the bottom one, there are just a few little holes in the weld :(
Photo0561.jpg

Ran out of time for another go!

Well I've been busy! Moved house again! Done a few bits to the van finished off the alarm, and got the leisure battery functional. Just need to tidy up the wires and get the dash all back together for good.
Got some big plans for the off season as its getting a bit tatty ;)
Might even get some bows on it this summer!

Ran it to stanny, now Amy comes with me to the shows I've invested in some camping gear rather than just slumming it on pop tarts, beer and sleeping in the cab
Photo0639.jpg

TIG welding course is coming on as well..
Photo0633.jpg

Photo0643.jpg

Just one more test piece to do then I'm done. :D

Going to be tinkering with the van over the summer as well so will be posting some photos as I make more alterations.

Well TIG course is all completed now, just using the remaining weeks to learn some other bits, welding ali and in the vertical etc

Did a bit of tidying up today, cut and fitted the new cab floor too
Photo0700.jpg

Photo0699.jpg

Will give it final tweek once I've got the new kick panels (the start of Hueys second transformation!)

All packed up for van jambouree...

Photo0708.jpg

Set up camp and got some new toys
Photo0709.jpg

Wheels are VW Australia wide rims, not banded or re-rimmed ****. Proper wide wheels, with the correct offset, made in the VW Australia factory. Should beef up the back end nicely.

Bows are from http://www.timetravellersuk.co.uk Really happy with the look and fit. Just wanged them on for the show for ease of transportation, going to get them back to the workshop bolt them up properly, set the height so they are level with the top of the roofrack and then I've been offered some free powdercoating by a mate. :D

Respect dude 8)

Love the drivers door card

Can't wait to see the rims on the back

 Erm yeah drivers door card and kick panels are offline for maintence!
Think I'll just wait for the winter overhaul, might get some nice brushed stainless in there or something. Haven't quite decided yet!

Not any as yet, too much other stuff I'd sooner spend money on, will get 34 icts and 123 ignition before I do anything else major

I'VE GOT WOOD
Photo0844.jpg

:p Had to take 10 pallets to a mates cause he couldn't get them in a LWB T4 (who'd put a bed in a glorified builder's van! honestly!)

You can now also look at my van in 3D http://the3dsite.co.uk/main/stereo%20galleries%20volkswagens%20index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
Its in the bus stop over and van jambouree galleries.

And if your heading to Vee4All this weekend the mrs and me will be gigging there. Think we'll be playing the afternoon slot outside by the show and shine area so come and say hello and have a bop.
