I took this pictures a couple of weeks ago , you can see a bit of Chianti Red on the bus already, I expect to pick up the bus this weekend.

In the meantime I been working on getting the last bits I need.

Got these from Mark last year at Vanfest.

I also got these from the fiftysix deluxe folks.

This came in from Wolfsburg West a few days ago.

I liked this ones when I first saw them on their website so it was nice to find them at the show.

It is taking forever but I keep bugging the guy to make it as perfect as possible and so far we still like each other :lol: it's a matter of days now.

Replaced the first front door vent wing's rubbers , not too bad of a project only took me about 30 minutes not counting the time it took me to remove them off the door.

Thanks Easy , a few more bits showed up today.

Stainless steel luggage rack anchors off ebay.

VW stamped front door rubber seals off Bus Depot (the ones that fit like they should).

Upper bunk canvas also from Bus Depot.

This arrived on friday , I now have a complete Westy interior minus the cooler.

Spent a few hours yesterday installing windows , doors , and a few other bits.

Thanks Gninnam and Dirty Harry I am very happy with the results so far.
Yesterday I fitted most door seals , front bumper , rear lights and lenses and drove the bus about 5 miles to the mechanic to have an electronic ignition installed , adjust the valves , tune up and have all lights and switches work like they should , funny thing is that the person that was supposed to install the windshield did not show up and the seats were not ready for pick up so with an appointment with the mechanic set I had to drive the bus with no windshield or seats for about 5 miles :lol: I had a big smile all the way and the looks :shock: I got from people where hilarious. Too much fun this restos are :mrgreen:
This can only happen in my beloved Mexico , I'm glad is only 5 minutes from San Diego.
