I've blown the aftermarket exhaust on my 1600 bay this weekend. It is a four into one thing that is on there. Am i correct in thinking that different exhausts have different headers etc?

If so how do i tell which make mine is?

The exhaust bolts to the middle of the header at the back of the bus and then the box is on the o/s and exhaust just below the over rider.

I'll get a pic up asap.

Cheers

Yep there are different headers. Small flange, large flange and merged headers. Bugpack and empi are pretty common, most you can't mix 'n' match. Mine is small flange, is were the silencer bolts on a triangle? if so thats small flange like mine. The large flange is a bigger triangle with rounded corners, my dads van had an Empi low-mount 1. Merged exhausts are generally what you see on 2.2L beetle screamers at santa pod. Check out the Street Style Power site or book, you'll see what i mean.

Mine is a triangular fixing so i guess it's small flange. Thats enough to get me started on the phone on monday
