Top work on the engine Graham, looks so much better in the flesh, those pics really don't do it justice!
Flawless work as ever, a real joy to look at.

I think I'll pour over it more at CamperJam.
You say you've entered show n shine, have you had any paperwork sent thru? I think i applied for Olive months back, but never received anything in the post along with my wristbands.

Thanks Steve :D

I had nothing in the post, but I did have an e-mail confirmation.

Happy New year All

Have not updated for a while, but as Mr Brightside was built for family use, he took us down to Cornwall for the Christmas/New Year holiday.

This is his 5th trip to Cornwall since being finished & other than a tyre problem on the ever first trip, he has performed faultlessly for us & is a great addition to the family, we use him all year round, but just make sure we clean him thoroughly when we get back.

Trevone Bay, a little quieter than last time we were here, but great all the same.

Time for a relaxing Hot Chocolate with a Dodgy Santa :)

I little bit of cleaning to do when I get home...........

But I found the best burger ever just down the road from Mevagissey at Gorran Haven at the Llawnroc Hotel, looks a bit posh, but they were not phased when we rocked up in wellies & winter gear, bit pricier than Mc Donalds, but was amazing :)

The unexpected bonus of having the camper (especially on the last 2 Cornwall Christmas holidays) has been the extended days we can have, when it turns to dusk, we just crank up the Webasto, put on the kettle & just sit & watch the evening roll in.

Oh & Cornwall is just as good in the winter, loads of room to park, empty beaches, fabulous.

Bring on Summer 2013

Cheers

G

Thanks for the comments :)

Trevone is one of our favourite beaches, the bad weather has brought quite a lot of debris onto the beach, but is still outstanding.

The salt on the roads is virtually none existent at the minute due to the warm weather & lots of rain.

It will take me a full day to clean the van, but it was really worth it.

Cheers

Absolutely Foz, looking forward to some sun this year (here's hoping anywway  )

Great to see Graham

I was away in my westy for christmas as well. Nice walk Christmas Day alongside the K&A canal at the amazing Caen Hill locks near Devizes in Wiltshire - what a piece of engineering/restoration that is. Followed by full christmas dinner cooked with all the trimmings inside the bus.

Thank god for propex and a good pair of wellies .... oh, and an oven

How are you getting on with the Webasto heater you installed last year?

I am interested because I fancy one of these, airtop 2000, fed from the petrol tank.

I don't have a gas cylinder in the van and like the idea of this type of heater.

You can PM if you prefer- cheers.

To be honest, it's been great!

We have never needed it above 1/3 power, used quite a lot, even whilst driving on the motorway.

Just make sure you put an extra fuel filter in after the tee off the fuel line. The company who fitted mine said that they like clean fuel.

Would I have another ?

Absolutely.
