Hi,

Due to past - and very probably future - work comittments our bus project has hit a standstill :(

I've also discovered that the guy lined up to take on the welding and repaint has now pushed our bus further down his schedule

The above - coupled with my slightly impatient nature, and then added to by seeing for-sale ad's of seemlingly very nice buses at pretty good prices (like the sierra yellow 71 being sold by the guy in Finland) hasn't helped me either. And I now find myself thinking about selling our bus and buying a more complete version (i.e. a runner!).

I appreciate there is inspiration in abundance on this forum - but that alone doesn't get things done.

Anybody got some cheery, encouraging advice for me?

Cheers,

Mike

in my opinion as long as you have a van then you should still be happy...I haven't got the time to do bugger all on my van thats why I bought a runner...I know all the stuff about getting satisfaction out of doing it yourself but that can turn negative if you never get the time. I say sell the van and get a runner...do a resto in a few years when you have more time.

That's the thing about buying a runner - especially one that would require attention in the future.

Our bus does require a lot of welding - and therefore could never claim to be the most original/untouched of it's kind - but once done, it would be totally sorted for the next 20-30 years of it's lifetime :D

Maybe I've got slightly cold-feet - rather than itchy feet?
