so, this morning i'v rebuilt one side of the front brakes on me new van, calipers and evrything..

put them back together, bled them, and then as soon as i pushed the pedal they locked up again! (being locked up when i started!)
i don't think its just me putting them back together wrong, could it be the master cylinder?

the brakes lock when u push the pedal, and to unlock them i have to undo the bleed screw and they free up

any help would be great as its abit of a bumma all this!

hi sounds like the brake pressure regulator if it was calipers opening the bleed nipple would make no difference the regulator restricts the amount of pressure to the discs to balance them to the drums up back

could anybody sugest what i could do then? i've decided it wont be the calipers (thanks maybee) and checked all the brake lines etc, replaced the used ones.. still no change, locks up righ away!

as of yet i've only rebuilt one corner, should i do the rest before i start changing things? ..or would that not change anything? ..would the faulty regulater still persist (or would the fact that the brakes are all locked mean the regulater doesn't woke properly???)

..or could it be suomething other than the regulater??

thanks for all help so far

Fit new brake hose :!: :!: If you clamped it when fitting new caliper the insides will have collapsed , turns it into a one way valve :(also check for free play on master cylinder push rod.Is this after market disc kit :?: check caliper moves free on sliders can twist and stick when still some times OK when moving

Have to agree sounds like the classic case of collasped flexi hose. Cheap fix but quite commonly overlooked when doing brakes.

(though the flexis look new  i'll change them! and have changed some of the solid ones too)
