Lucky escape today. Putting van back together ready for MOT. Engine still needs setting up so tin ware is out. I haven't routed the fuel lines yet so they dangle around whilst I tinker with the carb. Whilst running the engine I didn't realise the fuel line was touching the exhaust. Engine stalled as it won't tick over and fuel dripped onto the exhaust and floor from the melted pipe. That could have been five years in the refurb 1 minute to lose the bus. Worst thing! It's not insured yet.
