Hopefully these are the last shots of poppy in the booth. Arches and other places that have been welded are all sealed. Rear drums painted, steering column, pedals etc etc all painted.
Anyway look at the finish - I am still a happy bunny.
A few more pics of progress The vans coming together, doors on, front windows and winders in. Glass still to be finished off. But is looking lovely in my eyes
Change of plans on the engine front. I have decided to go with a bigger lump than originally planned. So I have ordered a 2161cc, if things come together nicely I should have it built and with me just as I have finished putting the van back together. So it will a case of dropping it off for fitting and then off to the MOT.
I did win the lottery at the weekend, wait for it. £70
My thinking is my first engine seized, then there were problems with the second one which are now kinda sorted so I thought start again from scratch. I've not been able to use my bus for 18 months partly because of the rest and partly from not having an engine. So I thought sod it. The body work is looking amazing and deserves a decent power plant
The thinking is I am not planning on doing the body work again and I'm not planning on touching the engine apart from routine servicing.
Been a while since I updated this thread. I now have poppy home with me and I am very happy. She was delivered back to me on friday. I've been away this weekend so haven;t managed to get much done.
Craig loading her up ready to bring her back to me
