Got all my work done just need to get the steering wheel back on and secured. However the thread on the steering column is not looking good. Plus I reckon the thread on the nut may be damaged as well. Questions
Should I cut off the top mm of thread?
If I don’t cut the thread and buy a new nut will it go on? I reckon the thread on the nut may also be mullered.
Is the nut an M16. I can get 5 for the same price as a JK one
If I do buy a new nut are there any options apart from JK etc. seems a bit excessive in price for a nut. So. Any ideas on how to sort this so I can get on the road please.
