Next patch made!!

Hope you're all not as bored as me now!!! :sign0013:

Don't be daft Lee!

Lets be honest its my yawn posts that probably killed the f4d forum lol

There's a f4d forum???

Patch clamped in!

Right, promise not to laugh???

Promise?????

My panel beater mate was due round to weld it in but couldn't make it, so I had another go myself!!!
But the welder was set too fast for me so I've twiddled all the dials again!!!
Sometimes it feels & sounds like it's working, sometimes not!!!
All I could manage was tacks!!!!
So I've tacked it in, hoping to fill the gaps in tomorrow & grind it down flush too!!!

No giggling,

My panel beater is not impressed  :(

Is it stuck together? Tell him to do one... He's been made redundant!! haha.

To tell the truth, I'm not sure if it is !!!
I'll put it reet in the morning!!!!

Also not sure where I stand on sacking someone who's doing me a favour!!!???

Only a couple came off when I grinded them back like!!! :D

Looking better already!!??

Filling in the gaps!!!
Starting to look like a step now??

And this how I left it today, as I was getting sick!! :sick0020:

The floor is kinked & I need to screw it down all round, I've made the last bit panel at the same angle as the panel o took out, but the new floor isn't exactly the same!!
So there's a little gap, as you can see!!
So, one more little patch underneath, then it can all go in!!!!!!
I'm bottling out of this job mind!!!!
For speed if nowt else!!
More progress mid week, hopefully!!! :D

Looks sound now it's all cleaned up!

You can un-sack your mate if he's working for nowt! haha.

Nice work mate. Progressing well.

I'm struggling with mine as I just don't have the space. Lucky you've got your workshop.

I am lucky to have my place like!!!
If you could transport it through, you could graft with me on a Saturday!!!???

Floor starting to go in!!! :anim_19:

Guvnor's welding is more sturdy than mine like!!

More tomorrow :D

!!!!!!!BORING UPDATE WARNING!!!!!!!

We have a floor!!! :bliss:
Well technically half a floor, other side still fooked like!!!!
But bar a bit more welding underneath,
We have a floor :bliss:

Unless the parts come for the daily & we manage to get up to Volksfling @ Biggar this weekend, the underside welding & the bit along the step should be done by Saturday!!!

WARNING!!!!!!
***************!!!!!
NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART!!!!!!!

Well , my cab floor had a coat of surface rust by the time we got back from a fantastic SUNNY weekend in Scotland

So I sanded it down again & put a coat of weld thru etch on it!!
It still needs welding from underneath, but Guv says leave it for him to do, next time he's in!!

That's the tame pic out the way!!!!

I started on the tiny little easy but on the inside of the arch, how hard could it be!!!!!??

Oh ****!!!! :sad0049:

As you can see. There's a patch on the chassis to do, then a couple of patches on the inner wheel arch. And cargo/rear seat are needs repairs to the leading edge of the floor.
I'll not do them yet, as these holes offer access to,,,,,,,

This !!!!

It gets worse!!!!

& worse!! :(

Light at the end of the tunnel!???

This is the sill section for the opposite side I bought from Alan Schofields, it at least gives me something to work towards!!!
I think I'll try buy a few panels for this bit as opposed to making them all????

3 hours work to make this all look worse, how many weeks to make it all look better!!!!???? :google:

The back of the inner sill looks ok?

Just the bottom of it to replace?

A bit on the inside too!!
I'm guessing at the moment!!
I'm not sure how it's meant to look!!
As there's not much left!!

Been busy with work & wor lass's car playing up again lately!!
But back on the truck now!!!

I've bought a load of panels as opposed to making them, waiting on abut floor coming from a mate too!!!

Inner arch bit,

Can't do too much here until I get the floor inside & sill sorted too!!

Front floor welded all round underneath now too!

Not the prettiest, but its strong!

Like I say, waiting on a panel for the back interior floor, so I stated the other side floor!

This bit is better than the other side , but will still need replacing!!

Also a bit in this corner.

So that's as far as I've got now!!!

Hopefully a bit more a couple of nights this week???
Taking bloody ages, can't see it hitting the shows this year like!!! :(

wish I could jack mine up that high!

Being on a slope, I'm getting quite good at yoga fitting between the axle stands that are holding the beam up

Youll be finished soon at this rate!

I've cut the panel down, considerably smaller repair than the other side like!!!

Started making the replacement for these bits, but got summoned home!!!!

More Wednesday or Thursday hopefully!!??

I'm just cutting the rot out & making the patches etc!!
My mate welds it then I grind it down again!!!
I might have another go on an out of sight bit????
