Non VW cab seats

What non VW seats have people fitted in their early bays ? I was down the local scrappy the other day and spotted an alpha 156 with some nice tall tan leather seats but dunno if it's more hassle than its worth to get them installed.

I've searched for alpha seats in here and vzi but have found nothing

Hi - Try searching again using the right spelling of alfa and you might find some bits of info . Think Alastair (aogrady) has done it in his. I am sure if you are struggling he would offer some advice.

Got a pair of Saab seats in mine. They are a bit high (I'm 6'2" and head scrapes the roof) but very comfy and easy to fit

I have Mark II MR2 Seats in mine : Fit well and are comfy :there's a helpful post on here how to fit them : I was worried about the lack of headrests althouhg you can get headrests fitted to original seats : I think I pan £40 for them from a breakers ..

You're right, I have the Alfa seat, tan leather, Momo sports seats with airbags :lol:

I offered them up for a trial fit, pics below need to mod/get made some brackets, but have bolts and large washers to bolt in. They will sit a little lower, i also need to swap over the seat bases, as the drivers seat has height adjustment, but is on the wrong side as it's left hand drive. Also need to find out your remove the arm rest, dont need it.

I dont mind the seats being a bit higher, i like to sit up high, as long as i can reach the pedals and wheel safely. The seats are really comfy, and will go well with the interior.

Though this was probably 2 years back - I really need to get them fitted! I think they will be really nice, once i re-do the bases. Will try and get it done soon.....honest

Kool! Thanks alistair. There the ones I've seen Without the logo though. If I get them like you it'll probably be another 2yrs before they go in. (I've got a lot on the list). Visiting the scrappy on Saturday anyway for passat parts so I'll see if the price is right

I suppose a ideal solution would be to get a pair of knackered seats and weld on the base so you can slide it into the original place, though it looks like the Alfa runners can be bolted right in with some adjustment and drilling, though i haven't got around to having a look yet......

Soz, mis-understood. Yes i think it probably would go, to be honest it may sit a little high anyway, i need to measure it all up, but it looks like it will swap over ok.

Dunno how the arm rest come off though......
