one question when i took burt for his mot today the tester says that he was first registered on the 1/1/97 is this poss as i thought they were brought out in september of that year :?:

Take a look at your V5 - that will tell you when first registered in the UK? That should be the same info your MOT man was looking at (DVLA records)

Some early 68 model year vans where built in '67 (my brothers was August '67 iirc) - not sure about pre-registrations back in the late 60's though!

Is it an import? I think the DVLA like registering them on the 1st of Jan. My van was built October 67 but the V5 shows 1/1/1968, it's a US import

Same here. Depends on what is put on the application form when registering, some have had 1/1/67 put on the form, hence some bays with an 'E' suffix.

looked at the v5 and it was first registerd on the 1/2/68 and the same same date in the uk so defo a uk right hand drive i think
