Does this include the parts?

It is no more than an afternoons work, I'd say.

Personally, I'd do it myself, you could buy the tools and the parts yourself for that. The only tricky bit is replacing the bushes in the steering idler pin, the old ones can be a bitch to remove.

sounds expensive to me, 3-4 hours work plus parts. would have thought approx £200 inc parts

Just done my steering pin, pushed the old bushes out with a socket the same size.

in all fairness i would rather do it myself as i thought that price was a bit rich but were do i start if you could time to run me threw it
it would be much appreciated i've herd it can be a bit of a struggle
cheers leon

The steering links/rods are fairly easy, all you need is a balljoint splitter - £15 or so from Machine mart.

and a 17mm socket. Remove the old arms, using the balljoint splitter to loosen the balljoints - then fit the new rods, which need adjusting to the right length (tracking) by your local garage - setting the tracking isn't really a job you can do accurately at home easily.

The steering idler pin, you simply remove all the parts, and then use a socket to pull/push the old bushes out of the beam. This is the fiddly bit (the bit which will have you cursing whilst lying under the bus, wondering how other people have made it sound so easy). Then push the new ones in, and re-fit all the other parts in reverse of removal.

It should all by in your Haynes Manual :)

Have a good look at the orientation of all the seals and washers as you take the idler pin apart as there are quite a few in the kit and you need to fit them all in,so lay them out in order as you strip it apart.Don't forget to grease it up when you've finished through the grease nipple. The only tricky part is lining up the arm on top of the bearing,I put a bottle jack underneath and jacked up the idler pin so it pushed against the spring washer to enable the bolt to be lined up.
