Well,

Managed to squeeze a few hours in this morning (what with work
and Family life, difficult to find time to work on the van!).

Before continuing spraying one of the vents for the poptop,
thought it would be a good move to put the holes in to mount
it on the hinges and the handle.
After measuring 20 times, I drilled and I was 100% bob on with
all the holes:D

Did a trial fit using the old screws and hinges etc, but I got new
opening handles so attached those to.

Here are a few pics of the new vent insitu - will look bob on with
new screws etc. See what you think:

I only had to replace one so the original good one I have tidied up
but will give a few coats of top coat eventually.
The new handle are spaced differently to the originals where
they mount to the vent so had to play around abit to get it to
fit, but got there in the end:) :

:?: Hi mate, i see you are doing a lovely job of that pop top. My van has the same top as yours, where did you get your bits from?. Mine needs new bellows and it also leaks water due to a crack in the top and poor window seals. I'm hoping to use something like isopon to seal the crack? and i believe the window seals supplied by some places can be too firm and not pliable enough to seal properly, so not sure where to go for what?. If you have any input i would be grateful to know what you think .

Got all my stuff from Dormobile, based down south - can be contacted on
01794 830831 .

Regarding the crack, i'd be tempted to san it down then add thick gelcoat -
think you can buy it in a tube - will meld better the the fibreglass, plus will
sand down and flow better!

Good luck and hope this helps!

Anything to do with the poptop, they do, so yes, they do the bellows!

All the best
