Put petrol in a diesel

Having driven the bus for nearly 2000 miles, I used my Dad's diesel today as I'm working on my brakes and pulled in to put fuel in, put £20 of petrol in and went merrily on my way down the motorway for 6 miles until I came off at my junction and kaput. Everything dead, embarrassing call to the AA, towed home.

Now totting up prices to drain the fuel :roll:

Gutted ,I've done this before but luckily realised before I went too far and topped it all the way up with diesel got away with it.

As above, if there's enough space in the tank fill up with diesel and you'll get away with it.

Put diesel in a petrol and things start to get tricky.

my wife did this couple weeks ago,take out the pump and syphon it out refill with diesel and put in an aditive and should be ok
