will post up some pictures of the rest of the seats soon.

Update time
I never realised how talented coach trimmers were until I got to this job , I used to recover seats for Morris minors as part of my first job when I left school. I forgot how time consuming it can be . Anyway seat covers are now on and I have fitted new horse hair pads , I am reasonably pleased with how they have come out but I know now that the next set of covers will be a lot easier to fit than these were!

Due to the misses not liking the volume of my custom made exhaust, we decided to bite the bullet and buy a vintage speed exhaust . So money in hand I met up with Dan and brought one of his exhaust only to find out that Ade from Till is now making standard pipes as well! oh well ...I should have asked the question!

Just to tidy up the wiring and get around to fixing some of the glitches with gear changes that I am now experiencing!

Nice work! Bus looks great!, give yourself a pat on the back, its hard work to make it look that good 8)

Cheers guys, almost fell out of love with it recently! Sometimes you never seem able to see the light at the end of the tunnel, hopefully it wont be too long before I can use it on the road!.

Hi all,

As it been a glorious weekend here on the Kent coast. The bus came out and I could get around to finishing the rear of the bus, I am now working my way forward. I have had fun fitting the rear bumper, and resorted to the trusty 3.5 ton tolley jack and a block of wood to straighten it up once fitted to the bus.

But it’s the original bumper, the same one as at the start of our resto so a BIG milestone for me. Just looking forward to the summer and the show season, camper jam and Dubs. We should be MOT,ed and road going very soon. Can’t wait!

I'm sure that when you do yours , not that it needs it . You do a better job than ours Simo :D

I looked for a mainly solid example as I am no good with the welder. We just didnt expect to buy teh first bus that we looked at .

Great thread and of course a very nice bus. The light is now visible at the end of that tunnel.
All your hard work will be rewarded soon and it feels good. I know from experience.

Nearly there now , We have spent the weekend getting the majority of the bus finished. The spice rack and coolbox is now fitted , along with the dashboard and sun visors, I put my helper to work claning off the blue protector on the sidewalls of the tyres, Just the MOT now and were rolling , We might even make Ellimental at the weekend.
