Its not a bus

But it is slammed on steelies

It is! 14s up front, 15s on rear. And before anyone says 14s are cheating, I run the same rolling radius as 15s but don't get the tramlining. :lol:

Ignoring any lowering for now ... I have a set of stock 15 inch wide 5's I'm considering buying but would like to know how some of you ride with 195/65R15's at the rear when the rim is only a 4.5K-15? A tyre that size is recommended to have a minimum 5.5 inch wide rim. Check out "an ideal rim width calculator" (and muchmore good info) at http://www.carbibles.com/tyre_bible_pg4.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Oh yeah ... those wide 5's I spoke of are from a Type 3. From my research the differences are the offset is 1.7mmm less, hubcap nubs vs clips, J vs K tyre bead edge and possible strength of rim. I will never load up my bus anywhere near as expected out of the factory so the strength issue is okay as well as all other differences which are minor. ANybody know of any other concerns I should be aware of?

I ran Type 3 steels for a while (still got them in the garage), but with 175/55 on the front and 185/65 on the rear.
Never had a problem.

That's good to hear Sparkywig! Thanks much for the pic ... still a fan of your current rim/tire set-up - one of my favourites :D
