I have taken the spindle out to rebush my 34 Pict 3 and removed the butterfly. I omitted to note its correct position ! and see it has silver dot and then two arched indentations on the rim. Can any advise please correct alignment for reassembly. Many thanks John

The "silver dot" is where the original hole in the plate has been soldered up, and goes towards the front. The hollowed-out spots on the plate are on top, and they should line up with two series of tiny holes drilled in the wall of the carb passage.

Many thanks that's super helpful. I have an after market carb on camper at the mo but taking time to have a go at restoring my solex. Good fun too.
