Firstly I would make sure your bus would still get through the mot point system that has been talked about before you commit incase it does come in.

The 2L na has plenty of power and will carry a fully loaded bus over 100bhp. But you always want more after a while.

Rjes parts , knowledge and support is fantastic he also does a radiator that's not on his site. Red 9 use them on there vehicles and swear by them.

I would try subarugears due to the cost of six rib boxes, rebuilds and longer gears.

Buy a complete car as a donar and sell what you don't use.

Mine has had drive in drive out 2.0 NA from Fellows Speed Shop, is absolutely fantastic and had no issues whatsoever, is such great fun to drive. They are always available on the phone for any questions too.

Richard @ RJES is extremely knowledgeable and his parts are excellent.
the 2.0 N/A makes the van a joy to drive, but does lack torque...but does rev high! Pretty reliable too.

I must admit I'm tempted by this, however I'd like to know if it makes the engine quieter at high speed, always thought I'd need to pair it with (somehow!) a 5 speed box or a freeway flyer type box (£££££), which makes an expensive project even more so, sorry to hijack!!

Think fellows are agents for subarugears, five speed is about £3k from them

I had my 3-rib rebuilt with a taller 3rd, 4th and final drive...3500rpm ish at 70mph
I had to fit a rev counter to know it's running at idle as I can't hear it.
At speed it's the wind noise not the engine that you hear now!

Hi Paul_q, hoping to get mine done this year want to get a t25 engine hatch fitted. Was there much welding involved to fit the engine as will need to get someone in to do mine

I just fitted a Benco Racing Rebuilt 091 Trans with 1.14 3rd gear and .70 4th gear... life is good.
