Tar board

Probably been discussed many times before............ Does anyone know where I can purchase a replacement tar board & insulation as my engine bay is completely devoid of anything.
Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Dont think you can buy em new, think people tend to make their own.

I used Dynamat for soundproofing and a sheet of pierced aluminium fixed over the top for securing wires/firetek hose etc to.... this works very well

The slightly later ones ,, 72 on I think, had an insulated panel supported by holed steel sheets / supports. If you ring any of the breakers stroke parts suppliers I`m sure you`d locate some. Where are you ? Try Rusty down on the coast, he`s on here somewhere (Dorset I think) :mrgreen:

Cheers guys, just wanted to make sure that they were'nt available 'off the shelf' somewhere. I'm near taunton in Somerset if anyone knows anywhere near by?

Think Gadget was going to make some.however he's started VW's full time now so probably up to his eyes in resto work.
