I`m off to Tech enders this weekend for a bit of a warm up to Okt Fest and Final Not Fling. It`s up about a half hour east of Brum I think. So going up on Friday morning to get there for just after lunch I freckons. Did you notice I didn`t put down any times

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,, Anyone else going ????????

I really fancy this, but I'm bottling out!!!
Too far , too cold , poorly dog, skint etc
Maybe next year!!!!??

I've always fancied it but timings never seem to work out for me. Won't be there this time, baby due and hannah maybe showing early signs of labour so doubt I'd get away with it [emoji14]

Let us know if it's any good ozzie, you planning any work on the van whilst you are there?

Right you two, I don't say this very often but this occasion calls for it.
   MAN UP you two.

So I'll try it out and I'm sure to meet up with some guys I've interwebbed with. It actually sounds like and promises to be a really good laugh. I've thought about it before and it's usually just at the wrong time just like it is for you guys now. From what I can gather, they seem to do the opposite to me as in they focus on fannying about with vans, socialising, and helping the world get rid of booze, and they seem to mostly order in takeaways and breaky etc and around the camp fire stuff. Where as I do the around my camp fire and cooking this that and the other ( god knows why) chatting baloney / socialising and deStellanisation of the universe  . So similar I guess. :  it sounds like an ace laugh and I love to learn new ways of doing this that and the other. I'm sure that merriment and mirth will follow as it usually does. I may even introduce them to fireplace JENGA!!!

Ozziedog,,,,,,, just try and stop me  ;)

Thanks for posting this i was not aware that such a thing went on for us Bay owners.

I knew the splitty folk meet at Victoria farm .

I can not make it this year but i will certainly keep this weekend free for 2018.

Look forward to seeing some pictures from this years event.

Cheers Al

Hi Al, It`s been going for a few years now. It`s twice a year and mainly a get together with a few jobs getting done at the same time and this is the very first time I have a chance to go. Mainly to show off my pizza cooking capabilities on my washing machine drum. And possibly to chat baloney around the camp fire into the wee wee hours. Those that wish to learn something just need to put their name forward and arrange for all the bits to be there at the same time. So,as I understand it,the chap that runs or owns the campsite is a bit of a VW nut with a Beetle and a Bus I think. But he has a four post hoist in a barn that they are normally allowed to use, so it sounds excellent.

Ozziedog,,,,,,,,,,,,,I shall report back folks, so watch this space.

Right I'm having brekky in bed and staring out the window and mind melding with the weather gods. Once I've sorted them out and got them around to my way of thinking as in '''Stop Bloody Raining'''' because I got stuff to do up Norf. Vans packed apart from the cool box and Stella, so that can be sorted in a mo, then sort out the three Ss and get my sunnies polished up because I'm ordering extra sunshine for today and tomorrow. If the weather gods ain't sorted it out in the next ten minutes then I'm straight down them stairs and have a word with the very very lovely Carol Kirkwood on Beeby one. She's pretty good ,, she'll sort it out for me.

Ozziedog,,,,, Then,,,,,, Thunderdogs are go !
