I'm planning on polishing my bus up for volksworld this weekend just hope the rain holds off for the show........unlikely though ain't it!

Anyone else polishing tomorrow (their van's)? :wink: :wink:

I mopped mine with compound on Monday just gone,tomorrow I plan to Mop it up with an anti swirl polish to finish it off.It's good news that the weathers going to be bright then 8)

I checked the 5 day forecast today and all it told me was heavy rain, even over the weekend :shock:

Haven't even taken the cover off the bus yet just need to wash, dry, t-cut, wax, polish, clean the interior oh bollocks can we as a forum change the date of Volksworld!

Washed mine on Monday, trouble shooting and afew jobs yesterday and 1st polish today. Now under cover till Friday unless the weathers good tomorrow and then ill give it a second polish.

I spent 3 hours yesterday afternoon washing polishing and waxing the crewie and then drove home in the pouring rain and now it's rotten again.

POXY FRIGGIN WEATHER!

Looks like we'll be taking a bucket and sponge to Volksworld, and if the weather forecast is anything to go by, we might need some sandbags as well.

Doubtless it will be chucking it down all weekend and then the sun will come out on Monday. Don't you just love the british climate... :roll:

The weekend forecast is rain and lots of it followed by more rain, mainly over the Esher area by the looks of it? Bugger the bucket, its clean now and thats it im affraid. (unless thats an ice bucket your bringing Carole)

It's been nice and sunny here today,I've been practising putting up the awning and checking all the bits are still there as I've only ever put it up once.Looks all good.Now it's time to do a bit more work to the westy,I wired up the reverse lights earlier,just needing the live connecting up and all the connections cleaning and all is looking good.Now just a bit of cleaning up to do and maybe secure the radio properly as it's loose in the glovebox at the moment
I hope it stays rain and wind free for the weekend though.

I cant really clean mine the rubber window seals are fooked so if i put water on the van it just ends up covered in black minging streaks and looks worse than when i started.

Thats my excuse anyway!

How far is it to the nearest supermarket/take away as ive heard VoWo food is terrible and i dont want to bring loads of BBQ stuff if its going to be pi**ing it down all weekend and i end up living on take away. Anyone got a number of a local Pizza/******/Indian take away that delivers?
If not its crisps and super noodles.............washed down with loads of beer(in other words a normal VW show) :roll:

I'd love to be trading at Volksworld but I haven't got the 4-figure fee available to pay the trading costs..... :shock: Volksworld is stupidly expensive to trade at which is why you only see the 'big boy' traders there (and lots of people trading in the car park...).

That said if anyone wants anything from the shop let me know and I'll take it with me, for payment/collection at the show.

I was up in Essex for work today and it has been sushine and heavy showers on and off all day.

Our camper needs more than a quick polish :shock: The entire back half needs some serious attention with some G4 or whatever you call it!
