If this ad is genuine then thats one cheap bus

Somehow I have my doubts.
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/1970-VW-westfalia-camper-T2-original-4-berth-tax-exempt_W0QQitemZ280431185668QQihZ018QQcategoryZ14256QQcmdZViewItem" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

and surely only a scammer would include the following selling blurb...

"it does not smoke or drip oil.The van drives just as Volkswagen intended ,it also has a full M.O.T and being tax exempt it also has12 months road tax and is all ready to tour Euroe and beyond. It is a pleasure to drive and will raise a smile and start a conversation wherever you go."

Van in the picture matches the description:

The vehicle details for VUK 152H are:

Date of Liability 01 09 2010
Date of First Registration 03 09 2009
Year of Manufacture 1970
Cylinder Capacity (cc) 1600CC
CO2 Emissions 0g/Km
Fuel Type Petrol
Export Marker Not Applicable
Vehicle Status Licence Not Due
Vehicle Colour BLUE

But that doesn't say much :D

very cheap - unless there is a typo on the price! especially as the van appears to have only been in the country for 2/3 months

I've just emailed to ask to view it but I'm expecting the owner is out of the country for a few months for a family emergency... :D

This sort of scam is common on e bay, the add will be someones old listing re listed by the scammer and with a too good to be true price and with no buy it now as they just want you to contact them.
This happened with me a few weeks ago, i sold my old T4 camper 6 months ago and while browsing for campers the add re appeared just as i had listed it, but for half the price i sold it for  , knowing it wasnt the guy i sold it to i tried to contact the seller only to be met with a page from "ebay" or so it apeared asking to re enter my password as thier system wouldnt recognise my pc???, obviously i closed the page and notified ebay.
Ive had to change my passwords as someone has tried to hack in to my account since  .

Be warned :!: ;)

nearlly got caught out in october when a 1969 westy was up as a classified ad on ebay just as well the misses was on the ball she saw straight through it . When ever they ask for bank transfers instead of through Paypal its dodgy If in doubt send it to ebay to verify .they came back to us within the hour and said it was a spoof.

my old 69 westy appeared quite a few times after i sold it

in fact it turned into a sport on here and vzi

the idea was to bid as high as we could before we where blocked as bidders, the winner was the first one to get it up to a million, in fact we managed to get it well over a few times before the idiots decided they were on a loosing streak
