vin number

hi guys ime trying to find out wot year my bus is ive tried to use some sites but to n avail my vin is 2211522807 i woz told it is a 67 but import papers say its 68 it dose have a lot of very eary parts on the bus

that VIN is a 71 I think. :shock:

The first number is for Type 2, the second digit is the model with 2 being a minibus, and the third digit is the model year with 1 being '71.
If you can find the M plate go to this site which give good info. (Its behind one of the front seats)

cheers i will try that the bus is defo not a 71 though its either a 67 or 68 just wanted to no for sure

Well thats definitely the wrong number for a 68 bus, have you checked the m code plate or the physical chassis number stamped into the engine bay as if its there you might have an issue getting it registered as the MOT man will take the chassis number off the van NOT off the paperwork.

From that chassis number I would say 71 too!

68 model year ( so built between august 67 and July 68), do you not have an m code plate behind your seat, it's a rectangular plate with numbers stamped into it, it gives all the build info on your bus by using the m code plate decoder
