Nate sent mine in two boxes so I avoided paying any tax on them. 8)

i thought that would have meant paying double?

You don't pay tax below a certain value. 8)

That's weird, they must have lowered the value then because it used to be something like £50 or $100.

when i bought my adapter they wrote that it was worth $100 on the box as opposed to $450 so if you do get caught you only get stung on the percentage of $100 plus the uk customs "handling fee" which is about a tenner in itself. sadly if youre item gets lost in transit you only insured for the $100.

therin' lies the problem, with a higher value item its not worth the risk...

I checked my tracking number today, got an awesome message!!

also on the shipping note, if the handler tries to charge you a fee, dont pay it, postage has allready been paid, do a search on martins money saving website, there is info on it there.

welding looks substantial, maybe thats why mine are taking more time, im waiting on horseshoe plates too.

Yeah, i was quite impressed with the welding, i think i'll give them a nice coat of paint before i fit them though. I cant wait to get them on now!

Not being funny but I suppose I was expecting them to be prettier and slightly more engineered than that, they look a bit like a cut and shut job :?: . Don't get me wrong I'm sure they are up to the job just thought they would look a bit nicer, or is it me :?:

yeah you can get forged units for Beetles, but not for busses, although prahaps the T2D ones will be, what you have to remember that these are standard bus ones cut and re welded, the quality of the weding looks to be spot on, and i'm sure it is, although as you say that arent pritty as such, although as long as they are structually sound I am happy.
